Derek Lucas (1922-2017)

It is with great sadness that I report the death of my good friend and our fellow member of Harrow Film Makers.
His funeral took place on Monday 30th, January 2017 at the Breakspear Crematorium in Ruislip, with a well-attended reception afterwards at Batchworth Park Golf Club. More than ten members of our club paid their last respects to him, as did representatives from several other organisations with which he had been associated for many years. Derek was what can only be described as a true English gentleman, at times slightly formal. Not once do I remember him using a swear word of any kind, even when the situation might have justified its use! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and Monday evenings at the club will never again be quite the same. Aivar Kaulins |
